Jordan and Peter’s engagement session at Wormsloe Historic Site in Savannah, GA is one of the highlights of my summer so far. I’m incredibly inspired by the beauty of the low country. The live oaks, the spanish moss, even the smell of the salty air as I get close to the coast makes me excited! So, I was over the moon when Jordan mentioned wanting to do their engagement session in Savannah. After chatting through our options (and watching the changing weather), we settled on Wormsloe Historic Site and a very elegant look to their session to set the tone for their wedding next May.
Tell me your story – “We met in college at Purdue University at what was called a “pledge party”, the theme was Athletes vs Mathletes, both dressed as Athletes. We started talking, went sledding that night, and then about a year later started officially dating. Peter graduated before I did, then soon after he moved to Nashville to attend Vanderbilt for grad school while I lived in Chicago. We dated long distance then once Peter graduated with his masters we both moved to Atlanta together and signed our first lease. We were finally able to start our “adult” lives together, rescued our pup Louie, and got engaged.”
Jordan, what do you love most about Peter? – “His ambition, kind heart, and charming personality.”
Peter, what do you love most about Jordan? – “Her ability to keep me motivated to always grow as a person and become a better man.”
About the Proposal – “Peter planned a surprise engagement on Jordan’s birthday, December 4th. He planned a spa day at the Loews Hotel, a date night at the Botanical Garden’s Holiday Lights, and then a “surprise” afterwards. Peter popped the question at the Garden’s, then took Jordan to 5 Church in Midtown where she was surprised with her dad, sisters, and closest college and local friends in a private rented out room for the evening. We drank champagne and celebrated the entire weekend.”
Looking forward to celebrating these two and capturing their Atlanta wedding next May!
