Mindy & Alex’s wedding at the Greystone at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, GA is one I’ve been looking forward to for a long time! Mindy and Alex have come to be such kindred spirits. I loved sharing laughs during their engagement session at the Cator Woolford Gardens earlier this year, and their contagious joy and love for others has been such a sweet blessing to witness and capture!

Mindy & Alex met and fell in love while in school at Emory. Through long distance and pursuing higher education their love only grew stronger, and last fall while on a trip to Paris, Alex asked Mindy to be his wife. She said yes, and the rest is history!

Both Mindy and Alex are the oldest and have a deep love and devotion to their younger siblings and parents. Being the oldest of five myself, I could relate to the love and sense of responsibility one has with younger siblings, and it was such an honor to meet the rest of Mindy & Alex’s family members on the wedding day! But, I have to say, it’s the way that Mindy & Alex make each other laugh (even when it pours rain all day) that’s my favorite thing about them!

The day began with Mindy & the girls getting ready at an Airbnb in Midtown. Music played while the girls enjoyed champagne and Chick-fil-a (my kind of gals!) and everyone finished hair and makeup! Once ready, Mindy donned her gorgeous BHLDN gown with the help of her Mom & sister. Soft light highlighted all the gorgeous details, and it resulted in some of my favorite getting ready photos ever! Once she was all ready, Mindy shared a sweet first look with her Dad, and then, it was off to the venue!

Once everyone gathered at the Greystone at Piedmont Park, it was time for the First Look! With a view of the lake and the beautiful park all around them, Mindy and Alex shared a sweet first look in the gazebo in the middle of Piedmont Park. Alex was simply beaming upon seeing his bride, and I love that we were able to go right into some beautifully romantic portraits of Mindy & Alex from there! Then, it was time for wedding party portraits! Tucked under the awning of the Greystone, the wedding party stayed classy and shared sweet laughs all while the rain poured down just beyond. I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter group! Y’all are the best!

Then, it was time for the ceremony. Guests filed in as a string quartet played and lush blooms set a soft, romantic backdrop for the nuptials. Happy tears were shed as Mindy & Alex shared their own vows and exchanged rings before exiting as husband and wife! Then, after the family photos were taken, Mindy and Alex braved the rain with me for some romantic shots with the skyline! Despite the rain & the cold, Mindy and Alex were all smiles and it resulted in some of my favorite photos of the entire day! After portraits, it was time to dry off and get ready to party! Meaningful toasts and a beautiful dinner kicked everything off, and then everyone let loose on the dance floor! And, the rain stopped in time for a beautiful bubble exit to end the night!

Mindy and Alex – You guys are amazing! I have loved getting to know you over your engagement, and I cannot thank you enough for trusting me to capture your wedding day! It was such an honor & a joy! Thank you for braving the elements with me, for continuing to make each other laugh and for caring for those around you with such love.
