Jamie and Tyler’s elegant Callanwolde Fine Arts Center Wedding in Atlanta was one for the books! I love the timeless feel of Jamie’s gown and Tyler’s black tux paired with white flowers, greenery and touches of rosy pink! When Jamie first reached out and we chatted about her wedding day, I adored her vision – classic and timeless with beautiful architecture and gardens! Callanwolde totally fit her vision, and I’m so glad the weather cooperated so we were able to capture some beautiful pictures around the house and in the gorgeous gardens!
Jamie and Tyler first met in middle school and have been dating since high school! As the years have past, they’ve really grown together as a couple (through both high school and then college). When asked what three words described their wedding, Jamie said “About darn time,” and after hearing stories at the wedding, friends and family seemed to share Jamie’s sentiment! The pair got engaged while down in Athen’s for a UGA football game (both are big fans of the Georgia Bulldogs)! Jamie’s sister is in school at UGA & they all met at the arch for a photo when Tyler dropped to a knee and asked Jamie to spend forever with him! How romantic is that?!
Jamie and Tyler are kind and caring, and it’s so sweet that they both really appreciate that in each other! Their love is sweet and subtle, and they convey a quiet kindness and tenderness in their interactions with each other, which was so much fun to capture!
We began the day by taking detail photographs of Jamie’s dress, shoes, jewelry, etc inside at Callanwolde, and y’all between the added floral and greenery (thanks to the magic from Mallory of Stylish Stems) and the unique moldings and wallpaper in the parlor, Jamie’s detail photos are some of my favorite to date! So classic and beautiful! After taking detail photos, it was time to get Jamie into her gown! She looked absolutely stunning in her Mikaella Bridal gown from White Magnolia, and the simple silhouette looked absolutely gorgeous with the addition of a sparkly belt! After she was ready, it was back down to the parlor for her first look with the bridesmaids! They looked stunning in their rosy gowns, and I loved their sweet and excited expressions! Afterwards, Jamie shared a First Look with her Dad, and I had to hold back tears when Jamie gifted her Dad a handkerchief that elicited tears from both Daddy and Daughter!
Then, it was time for portraits with the bridesmaids and Jamie’s family; I love that we were able to escape the heat by utilizing the ballroom with it’s beautiful architectural details and floor to ceiling windows! Then, it was time for Groom and Groomsmen photos! The guys looked so dapper in their tuxes, and I loved that Tyler rocked a black bow tie! Once wedding party and separate family pictures were complete, it was time for Jamie and Tyler’s ceremony. Guests arrived to soft guiter music by Johnna Jeong. I loved seeing the look on Tyler’s face when Jamie walked down the grand staircase and up the aisle towards him! What a beautiful moment that I know they’ve both been anticipating for so long! The ceremony was so sweet and meaningful; Jamie and Tyler shared their own vows before exchanging rings and being announced as the newest Mr. & Mrs. Nault!
Following the ceremony, we finished family and wedding party photos outside before taking some of the happy couple together! The summer glow was absolutely stunning, and the gorgeous architecture and greenery around Callanwolde matched the wedding colors and style perfectly! Once we’d taken a few wedding photos of the happy couple, it was time to get ready for the reception! Soft white and pink linens were paired with both high and low floral arrangements in green, white and pink. The soft glow of candlelight and golden accents created a warm and inviting atmosphere as guests entered the reception! Jamie and Tyler kicked the party off with their first dances and parent dances before enjoying dinner, toasts and the cake cutting! Then, we slipped out of the party for a few more photos of the happy couple in the soft glow of sunset! Once portraits were complete, it was back to the reception where they partied the night away with friends and family before their grand exit under an arch of flying paper airplanes!
Jamie and Tyler – Thank you so much for the privilege of capturing your beautiful wedding day! What an honor is has been to get to know you guys and your story, and I absolutely loved photographing your gorgeous wedding day! I’m so excited for all that this next chapter holds for you guys! Continue to cling to each other as changes and challenges come your way, and I hope you continue to appreciate and love the little things in life that are so worth celebrating! Enjoy the photos, and I hope they always bring you back to the joy & love you felt on Day One of your marriage! Much love and appreciation – Carrie Joy
