Natalie & Ryan’s wedding at the Carlyle House in Norcross, GA was elegant & lovely – the perfect way to kick off the spring season! From the moment I talked to Natalie on the phone I felt that she was a kindred spirit, and I counted down the days and weeks until her wedding with joyful excitement! Natalie & Ryan’s love story is adorable & sweet. They actually met on the first day of 6th grade, and after dating a bit through middle school split amicably. But after they both graduated from separate colleges and took jobs in Atlanta, God brought them back together again. And then, on a beautiful morning while watching the sunrise in North Carolina, Ryan asked Natalie to marry him & she said yes.
Natalie and Ryan are sweet and natural together, which I think really goes back to how many years their friendship spans! They also have an incredibly strong faith in the Lord at the foundation of their relationship. And y’all, they are just a joy to be around!
The day started with Natalie & the girls getting ready together at a gorgeous house in Brookhaven. Excitement overflowed as hair and makeup finished and Natalie got into her stunning gown. One of my favorite moments came during the bridesmaids’ first look. As Natalie came into the living room, the girls opened their eyes & let out a simultaneous squeal of delight when they finally saw Natalie in her wedding gown. Their reaction was only bypassed later when Natalie & Ryan saw each other for the first time in the gardens of the Carlyle House before the ceremony. Ryan’s face says it all (and it’s one of my favorite photos below).
In a quiet moment before the ceremony, Natalie, the bridesmaids, and both moms gathered to pray together. It was such a beautiful way to prepare for the rest of the day & reminded everyone of what mattered most. Among the azaleas, Ryan and Natalie vowed forever while friends and family looked on. And during a special song at the end of the ceremony, Natalie fought back sweet tears before she & Ryan walked out as Mr. & Mrs. Johnson! Following the ceremony, we were blessed with the most beautiful sunset! The sun sparkled through the pink dogwood blossoms as Natalie & Ryan walked hand in hand in their first moments as husband and wife. It was simply magical, and one of my favorite moments of the day! Guests mingled outside in the cool air before moving inside to party the night away with the Fantastic Voyage!
Natalie & Ryan – I’m so happy for the two of you! I adore the story of your love, and the way you both strive to honor God in your relationship. It’s amazing to see the way He’s woven your story together, and I have no doubt that He has amazing plans for you as a married couple! Thank you for opening your lives to me & allowing me to get to know you guys! I have so enjoyed being a small part of this season with you. I hope these photos will always bring you back to the joy of your wedding day! Much love & appreciation – Carrie Joy

I LOVE the details in Natalie’s dress from the lace top to the buttons running down the back!
Isn’t this reaction priceless?!! I just love Bridesmaids’ Reveals! 🙂
This right here is one of my favorite moments of the entire day. Just look at the Joy!
After Natalie & Ryan took a moment to read the letters they had written to each other, we went into portraits against those gorgeous azaleas!
Natalie is simply gorgeous in her gown from Formally Yours!
Oh y’all, have I mentioned the magical light?! Under the pink dogwood blossoms, Natalie & Ryan strolled into the sunset as husband & wife. I can imagine much worse ways to spend the first few moments of a marriage to be sure! 🙂
Such a beautiful evening for this gorgeous pair!
With tables inside & out, the party spilled into the evening air – perfect conditions for a spring soiree!
I loved the ambiance created by string lights, votives and pillar candles in combination with the soft pink & cream florals!
The band Fantastic Voyage that kept the party going & had everyone singing & dancing through the night!
