Lauren and Blake make me smile from ear to ear. These two had a gorgeous, classically elegant wedding all without taking themselves too seriously. That’s the perfect combination if you ask me! Looking back at their engagement photos from last summer, I was reminded of what Lauren said she loved most about Blake – his sense of humor. “It makes me so happy to know I’ll always have someone to remind me not to take life too seriously!” What an amazing place from which to start the rest of their lives together! From our first conversation after being connected through friend (and past CJP Bride) Sharon, Lauren and Blake were making me laugh over the phone and giggling through every meeting as well as their engagement session, and the wedding was no different. These two are so much fun, and my cheeks hurt from smiling & laughing right along with them!
They were blessed with an absolutely gorgeous spring day. Golden light filtered into the courtyard as they shared a First Look together before their ceremony at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Atlanta. The details and traditions at the Cathedral brought back fond memories of European elegance! I loved working with Jamie & Terrance of the Veil Bridal Concierge who helped the day run so smoothly as we transitioned over to the Piedmont Room for the reception. It was such an amazing day!
Lauren & Blake, you two are such a joy! I have loved being a part of this whole season leading up to the wedding & am so excited for all that’s to come now that you’re married! Someone recently told my husband & I that our biggest strength as a couple was our sense of humor & laughter together. As I think about you guys I see how true that is in you as well. Continue to hold on to that – joy is such a strength! It’s easy to see what an amazing foundation you’ve laid by being each others’ best friend. You two are amazing! And, thank you for the privilege of capturing your special day; I hope these photos will bring back all your amazing memories for years to come. Much love & appreciation – Carrie Joy
I just loved Lauren & Blake’s beautiful invitation suite & how their rings matched perfectly!
Scoobie West did a gorgeous job with Lauren’s hair and makeup!
I just adore the amazing detail and soft layers of Lauren’s Alfred Angelo gown!
Lauren wore Jo Malone London’s Orange Blossom Cologne as her wedding day fragrance which was the same fragrance Kate Middleton wore on her own wedding day! Isn’t that awesome? It had the most amazing floral smell 🙂
Aren’t Lauren & Blake adorable? I love their classic sartorial details!
I’m so glad Lauren & Blake opted for a First Look before the ceremony! I loved being able to take some portraits in this intimate courtyard at Cathedral of Christ the King!
Some of my favorites!! Aren’t they romantic?!
I loved moving to the front of the Cathedral for a few more photos before the ceremony. And, the details around the facade totally reminded me of Europe 🙂
After some more photos, it was off to the Piedmont Room for the reception!
This is one of my favorites!! Lauren gave Blake a little kiss on the cheek at the end of their first dance!
Congratulations, Lauren & Blake! I’m so happy for you guys! 🙂
