When Emily & Cody first met they were working at the docks & Cody patiently waited until the end of Emily’s shift so that he could go over & say “Hi” – how cute is that? From the first moment they met Cody has been patient, a gentle leader, respectful and sweet. And, Emily is also patient, forgiving, and incredibly artistic (Courtney explained during her toast how Emily quickly learns a new hobby and becomes accomplished in no time!). It was incredible seeing these two sweethearts wed!

Cody & Emily’s wedding day was blessed with beautiful weather. As history has shone us, anything can happen with the weather in Georgia in mid-March, but with temperatures in the mid to high 70s and a refreshing breeze coming off the water, it really couldn’t have been more perfect!

Another reason Emily & Cody’s day was incredibly blessed was through their family & friends. It was such a wonderful group who obviously love Emily & Cody immensely. From Reverend Meemaw who performed the ceremony to Julia, Emily’s Mom, who put so much time and effort into making the day special for Emily & Cody – it was a day overflowing with love & care down to the smallest detail. I was also blessed to work with the incredible Jackie Raez of Smooth Tie the Knots who helped the day run seamlessly. The MVP band really brought the party, and both Emily & Cody were impressing me with their dancing skills by the end of the night!

Emily & Cody – I am so happy for you both! You have so much to look forward to in marriage & many more adventures to come! As change and pressure comes, I hope you’ll lean on the support of friends and family and look to the Lord as the anchor in your marriage.
