Bride on the steps of the Swan House at the Atlanta History Center

Katie’s Bridal Session at the Swan House at the Atlanta History Center in Atlanta, GA was the perfect way to end 2020. We met on what was one of the nicest December days I’ve ever experienced – with temperatures in the high sixties, it was incredibly warm & pleasant, even for a city that has […]

Jana & Brett first met in the 6th grade. (How adorable is that?) They stayed friends throughout high school, and although Brett always had a thing for Jana, she simply saw him as a friend. When college came they went their separate ways, but reconnected when Brett came home on breaks from school. One day Jana realized that she might have feeling for Brett after all; she shared this discovery and they’ve been together ever since! Brett’s patient waiting finally paid off! 😉

I loved spending time with Jana & Brett at Kennesaw Mountain Park recently! Rain threatened to spoil the day, but we risked it & not only did the rain stay away but the sun even came out towards the end! It was stunning – just like this amazing couple! I love how relaxed and comfortable Jana & Brett are with one another! They made my job very easy! One other fun fact – we were talking during the session & I discovered that Jana’s brother lived near the Marietta square (as do I), so we continued the conversation & discovered that our worship leader at Stonebridge (where I go to church) is Jana’s brother! Such a small world! 🙂 I can’t wait to celebrate with their whole family at the wedding next year!

“What I love the most about Jana is her ability to put up with me day in and day out – her unbelievable patience with me. She is the most incredible woman (not to mention the goofiest as well). She amazing in every way and I can’t wait for forever with her.”

“What I love the most about Brett is the fact that he has always been there for me no matter what and I know he will continue to be. He would do absolutely anything for me. He is the most caring person I know, and I am so lucky to get to spend the rest of my life with him. “

About the Proposal (from Jana): “We got engaged on our one year anniversary. He was supposed to come pick me up and we were planning to go to the lake, but plans changed and I had to meet him out there. He picked me up from the dock and we drove out to an island in the middle of the lake.”

“As we pulled up there was a fire lit, and chairs for us. I just thought it was a nice romantic dinner considering it was our anniversary. As we got out of the boat and walked into the beach I could see there were rose pedals all over the sand. And, yes, I still was oblivious. As I got closer to the chairs I could see there were pine cones in the background, and I finally realized they said ‘Will you marry me?’ I turned around and he was on one knee. Best day ever. “

Congrats, Jana & Brett! Can’t wait for your wedding in Roswell next September! 🙂
