Photographing Kristen & Devin’s wedding was a dream. I had the privilege of capturing Kristen’s older sister Sarah’s wedding last summer & fell in love with their amazing family. So, this year with Kristen’s wedding, one of my favorite parts of the day was seeing all the familiar faces and spending time with Kristen’s amazing extended family!
There were also some familiar faces in the wedding party! Along with Sarah and Ryne, past bride and friend Amy was one of Kristen’s Matrons of Honor! And her husband Max captured video of Kristen & Devin’s day as well! In a way, it was like a reunion – in the very best sense 🙂 Kristen & Devin’s day was absolutely gorgeous – light filtered through the trees at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens and despite it being summer in Georgia, the garden was full of life and color. Kristen was a simply radiant bride! She glowed with happiness and joy and was a vision in her gorgeous gown! And, Devin was all smiles (and maybe a few happy tears) watching his beautiful bride approach him during the ceremony! Together Kristen & Devin’s sweet love kept me smiling from ear to ear!
Kristen & Devin, thank you for the privilege of being your wedding photographer. I am amazed by your strong love for each other and your love for the Lord. You are a wonderful example of a couple that’s beautiful on the inside and out! After portraits, it was off to the Terrace Room for the reception! I absolutely loved the cake by Mareen Penniman & the adorable cake topper which referenced the movie “Up” – one of my favorite animated movies of all time!
Kristen & Devin started their First Dance in the traditional way – a sweet slow dance between the two of them – and then broke into some fun choreography to the surprise and delight of us all! 🙂
Remember last year when I talked about one of my new friends Louise? Well, she’s still as feisty and amazing as ever! It was wonderful to see her gettin’ down and enjoying time with her family 🙂
I was totally cracking up watching everyone dance to Silento’s “Watch Me (Whip Nae Nae)” So good! 😉
