Bride on the steps of the Swan House at the Atlanta History Center

Katie’s Bridal Session at the Swan House at the Atlanta History Center in Atlanta, GA was the perfect way to end 2020. We met on what was one of the nicest December days I’ve ever experienced – with temperatures in the high sixties, it was incredibly warm & pleasant, even for a city that has […]

Elizabeth & Parker met at Georgia Southern University through a group of friends planning a spring break trip together. At the time very few people going on the trip knew each other (including Elizabeth & Parker) but everyone hit it off & lifelong friendships began as a result. Two years later, Elizabeth & Parker began dating with a meal at the Millhouse in Statesboro, and the rest, as they say, is history!

Last week, I met Elizabeth, Parker and their adorable dog Charlie at a park along the Chattahoochee  for fun photos on one of the most gorgeous spring days we’ve had so far! To top it off, we ended their session in downtown Vinings. Y’all, get ready for all kinds of adorable! Along with the photos, you’ll find the story of Parker’s amazing surprise proposal, and  some of the qualities they love most about one another! Enjoy!

“Parker’s thoughtfulness continues to amaze me on a daily basis. It is definitely the small things that make someone feel appreciated and loved, and Parker definitely makes me feel that way. He is a true gentleman. “

“What is it about Elizabeth that I really love the most?  Everything.  I especially love how she always goes above and beyond to help anyone out whether it is convenient for her or not.  In addition, she has always been there for me and supports me with whatever it may be.”

“On a typical weekend visit to Atlanta, Parker and I had planned to go to a new church that Sunday morning. At the last minute, a mutual friend, Brandon, decided he wanted to attend as well. It is a known fact that I am late EVERYWHERE I go. Because we were already behind schedule and didn’t want to walk into a new church late, we changed plans and headed to the Silver Comet Trail in Smyrna for a walk. On our walk, Parker asked our friend to take a picture of us since it was so pretty outside that day. Parker handed Brandon his phone, and when he turned around the rest is a complete blur!”

“I could tell by Parker’s demeanor what was happening before he ever opened his mouth. I was totally caught off guard and our friend caught every incredible moment for us, just like Parker had planned. Parker knew I didn’t want to have any part in picking the ring, knowing when he had talked to my parents, or having a clue about when or where this would all take place. It was a complete and total surprise and absolutely perfect!”

Elizabeth & Parker, thank you for sharing your story! I can’t wait for your wedding in October!

These photos are beautiful, Carrie! That ring is stunning, and the couple is so sweet! Hooray for Georgia Southern! Lamar and I met there, too. 🙂
