Hi, friends! Welcome to another Travel Tuesday! Today I’m officially starting the Portugal series with a look at where we stayed for our anniversary trip! If you’ve been following along, you already know my love for Airbnb, so when it came time to plan our Portugal trip, I started perusing the site for the perfect Lisbon Apartment. What really sold me on this particular Airbnb were a few things – 1) Every review mentioned what an amazing host Tiago was & that’s always important to me when looking for an Airbnb! Even though he’d just had a baby right before our stay (and therefore we didn’t get a ton of face time with him), his recommendations were awesome (he wrote a book on the Tascas – local Portuguese restaurants), and he was incredibly helpful & quick to reply to all my questions! 2) The amazing 360 degree view off of our own private rooftop terrace was a huge selling point! One of things Tanner & I loved most was coming “home” (our home away from home), grabbing a bottle of wine and watching the sun set from our own “rooftop bar” – it was perfection! 3) Location – it was important that our place to stay was very convenient and in a fun neighborhood to enjoy, and the area was wonderful! Located in a safe neighborhood just a few steps from the Avenida da Liberdade, the winding streets were full of amazing (and non-touristy) restaurants and near some of the best shopping in Lisbon!

Upon arrival, Tiago provided a bottle of wine (& Port wine for our anniversary!) as well as fruit, bread and cheese! It was perfect for a little snack after our long flight!
